Over 200 guests gathered and witnessed a record auction which was a part of the 15th edition of the charity Ball with a Heart. Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski’s pin from Ignis space mission was sold in the auction for 100,000 PLN to JohnnyBros Foundation, which, for the fifth time in a row, was a Diamond Sponsor of the event. The collected funds will support the Hospice Foundation in its efforts to rebuild the Father E. Dudkiewicz Hospice in Gdańsk.

The 34th floor of Olivia Star skyscraper became the stage for charity and dancing to the rhythm of the biggest hit songs again. It couldn’t have been any other way, after all, the main theme of this special edition of the event was “borrowed” from the legendary four from Liverpool. The phrase “All You Need is Love” was the theme of this evening and perfectly reflected the Valentine’s Day spirit.

The breathtaking entourage of the entire event is thanks to the wonderful, many-month-long work of the Fundacja Hospicyjna team, which this time raised funds for rebuild the Father E. Dutkiewicz Hospice in Gdańsk.

After a formal opening and dinner, the party got started for good. “Neptun” folk dance group from Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport invited everybody to join them and dance the traditional polonaise together. They presented a few less known dance moves, which provided a proper warm-up for the guests. The next surprise was a fashion show featuring…the ladies who were invited to the ball. The whole performance was supervised by Lidia Popiel, one of the icons of Polish photography.

During the breaks between attractions, guests were entertained by the Riverboat Ramblers Swing Orchestra. The hosts of the party, Marta Goluch and Przemysław Radziszewski, also presented their remarkable vocal skills..

Like every year, among “the main courses" during the Ball were auctions. The silent auction in the “Sopot” room gathered over 50 items in its “menu”. The public auctions “served” the greatest excitement to the guests. The beginning was pretty calm. It started from jerseys and balls signed by Szymon Marciniak, a Polish football referee who refereed the final of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar between Argentina and France, which were won by JohnnyBros Foundation. The most important auction was about to follow.

This is another sports trophy added to the Gdańsk-based foundation's collection thanks to the Ball's auctions. This is the fifth time the foundation has supported the Ball as a Diamond Sponsor, helping the organizers realize their vision for such a large-scale event.

No bidder wanted to give up during the auction of Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski’s pin from Ignis space mission and a poster with the astronaut’s autograph, but the final bid was the one of Julian Pawlukiewicz, the chairman of JohnnyBros Foundation. The 100,000 PLN bid sparked euphoria and almost instant standing ovation. This was an unprecedented situation.

- “Rebuilding of the Father E. Dudkiewicz Hospice in Gdańsk is a goal which is especially important to our Foundation due to our close and friendly relationship with the Hospice Foundation, which we have been continuing for years. We hope that almost 200,000 PLN that was collected during all the auctions will speed up the rebuilding process and make its earlier completion possible” Julian Pawlukiewicz, who, as always, was the last one to leave the dancefloor, summed up.
